 Description

In Pages App sorting:

ACs

  • The default view mode is tree view or search results view (list view) if the user is already using other search features like the search bar or filters.
  • If in the Tree view, once the user sorts a column content, the table content will automatically change to the search results view (list view)
  • All columns in the table are sortable – one at a time.
  • When the user clicks the sorting icon:
    • On the first click, the content will be organized from A to Z (Ascending, arrow up)
    • On the second click, the content will be organized from Z to A (Descending, arrow down)
    • On the third click the table content goes back to default sorting – tree view or user ranking results (list view)

Tech notes:

  • The sorting behavior includes now 3 clicks instead of 2:
    1# ascending
    2# descending
3# clears out the sorting back to the default
  • A hovering state gets added to the sortable column headers

Hey miguel.martinez, regarding what we discussed earlier. If the view switch turns out to be too complicated here's the order of priorities:

  1. Sorting functionality with 3 clicks - ascending, descending and back to default
  2. UI/look & feel and hovering state
  3. View switch when sorting from tree view to list view
