 Description

User Story

As an editor I can edit without green bars that interfere with the layout

Notes

The template-layout in the edit mode should stay exactly the same like in the published page.

  • Using the CSS attribute "outline" may allow for overlaying the green bars instead of integrating them into the template-layout. Very simple solution, great outcome.
  • Nice examples: Typo3 NEOS or https://www.elegantthemesdemo.com

We accept that the green bars can break the layout.

However, Indicating the extent and shape of a component/area via a rectangle is actually not possible in Magnolia because we do not enforce having a single enclosing element for a component/area.

In the next version of the Page Editor we will try to resolve this issue, but there is currently no schedule date for this improvement.
