 Description

Hi,
I'm wondering what are the differences between two modules
https://docs.magnolia-cms.com/product-docs/6.2/Connector-Packs/Commerce-Connector-Pack.html
and
https://docs.magnolia-cms.com/shop/index.html

am I understand it right, that Commerce connector pack is latest, more mature and prefered way to implement shop?

Hi,

The difference between this two modules is that the shop is independent from the connector pack, you store the products in a database. For the e-commerce connector pack, it is a way to integrate Magnolia with an external e-commerce 3rd party, you retrieve the products and catalogs from another application. It is true we could add an integration in the e-commerce connector to get the data from a db, but then every db will have a different structure, or we would have to impose one.
