 Description

First of all thanks for you work on this extension. It is one of the most useful third party extension i would say.

Very often we had the request if we can link a vanity url to a specific language destination. It's currently not possible to select the destination language in the vanity url app.

This use case seems to be only websites with symmetric I18N. In my projects we use always separated language subtrees.

For symmetric I18N I can imagine two opportunities.

  1. we support I18N vanity urls --> single entry /xmas support localized requests like /fr/xmas, too
    /xmas --> demo.com/page.html
    /fr/xmas --> demo.com/fr/page.html

  2. we add a language select field to dialog and change the link creation to respect the chosen language
    1. on asymmetric website, you can remove the select field

Hi Frank,

yes we use symmetric i18n all day long. I would prefer second option. But the chosen language needs to be specific to the selected page, which ends up in a new custom field.

Thanks
Marvin

Hi Frank,

i wanted to ask you if you had an idea if you wanna implement this part into the module? I would like to know it, otherwise i need to find a workaround for it or build it on my own.

Thanks
Marvin
