Looking for instance at the code of MgnlUser one sees lots of TODOs regarding methods which should move to managers instead. See also the first comments by Espen, Greg Jan and my last comment there. This is a follow-up to MAGNOLIA-5870.
We still call deprecated code in our own codebase. By replacing those calls we can be detect potential problems like deprecated code which misses a valid replacement or replacement code that doesn't behave as expected. The sooner we know the better.
