Context

The environment switcher is a feature for developers to switch between different environments on a subscription. Currently the switcher is a dropdown in the top level navigation. It is important for devs to have the environment information always visible and present. If a dev gets confused about the instance he could break things by accident, or get confused about why things are not working as expected.

• As a developer i want to switch between environments so that i can test different things at the same time.

• How often do devs switch btw environments?
• Where should it be in terms of navigation hierarchies?
• How does it look, what component, etc

  • as the new header is following the PaaS Style guides i added the dropdown style that we used for PaaS
